No surprise, but Clint Hurdle names A.J. Burnett as Pirates opening day starter.

Burnett, 36, went 16-10 with a 3.51 ERA last season. Highlights of his 2012 campaign included eight wins in a row and throwing a one-hitter on July 31st vs. Chicago. In 10 outings between May 8th and June 28th, Burnett was 8-0 while posting a 2.18 ERA. Opponents hit just .218 against him in that span. Burnett was clearly a veteran leader for the young Bucs last season.
