The top two prospects, Gerrit Cole and Jameson Taillon, have been invited to MLB spring training.
Cole, 22, went 9-7 and posted a 2.80 ERA between Bradenton, Altoona, and Indianapolis last season. The UCLA product pitched just one game in Triple-A, picking up the win and striking out seven over six innings.
Taillon, 21, was 9-8 with a 3.55 ERA in Bradenton and Altoona in 2012. The young gun dominated for the Curve in three outings, giving up just three runs, striking out 18, and winning all three ballgames.
This will be a good opportunity for both pitchers to get some experience. Cole should be up with the big league club at some point this season, perhaps as early as June. Taillon could also get the call, maybe as a September call-up, but only if he thrives in the minors. Both of them should make an impact for the Bucs in 2014.
