On April 12th, 2009, the Pirates were in Cincinnati for an Easter Sunday matinĂ©e. Despite a 2-0 defeat, the Bucs put themselves in the record books with a rare feat: a triple play. The men on first and second took off with the pitch, and Edwin Encarnacion hit a soft liner to shortstop Jack Wilson. “Jack Flash” tossed it to Freddy Sanchez at second, who then relayed the ball to Adam LaRoche at first to complete the play. It was the club’s first triple play since August 10th, 1993. Check it out:
